Thirteen years after high school, two people who only really knew of each other somehow found their way back together at exactly the right time.
Back in school, Anthony and Misty weren’t close friends. They didn’t hang out much or really talk, but they shared the same halls and familiar faces in passing.
Fast forward to Anthony’s 30th birthday trip in Phoenix. Somewhere between the birthday celebrations and maybe a few too many drinks, Gordy — forever the ultimate wingman — DM’d Misty and asked her to come out with Anthony and the group.
At the time, Misty already had plans: a dreadful first date. But something told her to cancel it and spend the night with familiar faces instead. (Safe to say that was the better choice.)
That one spontaneous night turned into effortless conversation, nonstop laughter, and the realization that sometimes the best connections are the ones that have been quietly waiting for years to finally begin.
Even though distance tried to make things difficult, they never let it stand in the way. Misty arranged for her work to transfer her to Tucson part of the week just so they could spend more time together. There were countless early mornings, long drives between Phoenix and Tucson, and thousands of miles traveled just to be together.
Their story is proof that sometimes the right person has been there all along — it just takes the right moment, and a little bit of fate to bring two people together forever.
